Family Forest Day (Wild Emergence: Spring Workshop Series)

What’s better than really nature connected children? Nature connected families!

Come join us for a day of fun, hand skills, learning awareness and connection skills, all within a reverently held container for your family to come together with other families in what promises to be a rich and rewarding day! Deepen the ecosystem of your family through shared and lightly facilitated experiences. Build the “ropes of Connection “ together!

Parents! This is your opportunity to remember your inner child, your wild adult and have fun alongside your kiddos in a “day-in-the-life” of Forest School adventure!

Examples of family orientated activities:

  • Learn how to safely use tools together,

  • Learn how to cook over the fire together,

  • Laugh and play fun games with other families,

  • Sing songs and hear engaging myths/stories

Note: time can be provided for some parent only time to foster peer relations.

Already a Thriving Roots family? Your kids are going to be so excited to teach and show you some of their favourite things about forest school!

Brand new to Thriving Roots? This is a great opportunity to try our programs out for the day, alongside your kids!

What to bring? Participants will need to bring their own lunch, water bottle and whatever else they need to be comfortable outside for the day e.g. appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather/terrain, camping chair etc.
