Wild Theatre Camp
Ages 8-14 | July 28-Aug 1
Registration Opens March 15
Come co-create wild belonging and a magical theatre piece under the shady cedars during our Wild Theatre Summer Camp! Beware — kids might sprout bright-coloured wings or long furry ears...
Our week will be filled with drama play and music in nature, forest games and art, magical characters, and collaborative myth and storytelling. We will explore the woods in our animal bodies, nest in burrows, soar through dappled sunlight! Craft and skill guilds may include: mask making, set-building, wild iced tea, and vanishing into the wilds to explore the age-old arts of clowning and embodied creativity. Finally, we will celebrate with a fresh, collaborative theatre offering under the cedars.
Over the week we will:
Explore drama, play + music in nature
Embodied creative expression: art, magical characters, animal embodiment, clowning, collaborative myth + storytelling
Wild crafting + art-making such as: mask-making + set-building
Forest games + fun with new friends
Collaborative performance at the end of the week!
