Plant Magic
Ages 8-14 | July 8-12
Registration Now Open!
Dive deep into the world of plants – there’s a whole world to explore… Join us at our Plant Magic Summer Camp to learn how plants can be used to heal, soothe and create. As we go on adventures and play games in the forest, we will get to know the abundant beings all around us and begin to decipher the individuals amongst the “wall of green”.
Some plants help us camouflage during hiding games; others aid in healing if we scrap our knees, and if you know just the right ratios, you can make a delicious herbal tea right from the forest! Together we’ll learn how to identify some native and invasive species, and develop place-based relationships with plants as we create art, make medicine and wild-craft.
Over the week we will:
Practice nature awareness and play fun games
Listen deeply to the Natural World
Wild-craft with harvested plant materials
Explore the land as we harvest & forage
Learn about honourable harvesting and how to be in reciprocity with our plant kin
Get to know wild edible and medicinal plants
Create art with new plant allies
Make medicines (maybe to start your very own herbal first-aid kit?!)
Make new friends (human & non-human)!
